Toll Requirement

The High Road is one of the most beautiful alpine roads in Tyrol and can only be accessed by paying a toll. Please note that in Austria, there is a requirement for a highway vignette, and a vignette does not replace the toll fee. What is the toll fee?

The fees range from 7€ (for single-track vehicles) up to 20€:

• Single-track vehicles: 7€
• Cars (up to 6 persons): 10€
• Minivans and cars with 7 or more persons: 20€

Additionally, you can purchase monthly or seasonal passes:

• Monthly pass: 30€
• Seasonal pass: 100€

A monthly or seasonal pass is especially worth it if you plan to use the Zillertal High Road multiple times during your trip.

What should I consider when using the Zillertal High Road?

Note that the Zillertal High Road can only be used by buses up to a length of 10.5 meters!

Currently, only cash payments are accepted. Additionally, please check whether the Zillertal High Road is open before your journey.
