Day 12 and 13: Brandnertal and the Rätikon

On days 12 and 13 of my Austria tour, I explored the picturesque Brandnertal and the impressive mountain world of the Rätikon. This region, characterized by untouched nature and majestic mountain landscapes, offered me unique experiences.

The Brandnertal greeted me with its idyllic scenery, shaped by green valleys and steep mountain peaks. I spent the first day in the valley, where I wandered through charming villages, surrounded by the imposing mountain backdrop. The warmth of the locals and the cozy cafés, where I enjoyed local specialties like Vorarlberger Riebel, made my stay particularly pleasant.

The next day, I ventured into the heights of the Rätikon, an impressive mountain range known for its distinctive peaks and fascinating panoramas. The hike took me through alpine landscapes, past crystal-clear mountain lakes and blooming alpine meadows. The view from the summit was breathtaking and offered a wide view over the entire valley and the surrounding mountain ranges. The silence and majestic beauty of the Rätikon were a true source of inspiration.

The evenings in the Brandnertal were spent in cozy guesthouses, where I replenished my energy with hearty dishes like Käsespätzle and a glass of regional wine. The Brandnertal and the Rätikon showed me the impressive diversity and beauty of the Vorarlberg Alps and left deep impressions of this special region of Austria.
